Mere Christianity

It is impossible to explain and understand God fully because He is in higher dimension which we are not intended to understand. C.S. Lewis tries to explain and answer life questions in a logical manner with metaphors which makes it easier to understand.

C.S. Lewis starts off by saying how human nature innately has consciousness. We were born with a common sense of good and bad and that is because God created us and instilled God-like mind in us.

He goes on explaining how and why Christians should behave in certain ways. The most profound impact that this book had on me is that he says we need to act as if we are good Christians and it will lead us to be like that. Thinking and acting are totally different. Acting is what gets you the results. If are thinking of praying but never pray, you are not praying and you won’t get closer to God.

This book covers most aspects of life and I couldn’t digest the content fully. I intend to go back and read the book again.
